Well, I finally was able to send out the SGer after AOL kicked me off
about
6000000 times (right, Brittany?). If you're thinking about getting
AOL,
DON'T! Now that I've done my free advertising for other internet servers,
I
hope everyone enjoyed the time change on Saturday. Why does time have
to
change, anyway?? Lucky Australian east coasters don't have time change
and
they're fine (am I right, Sarah?). Oh well...I'm here enjoying my last
few
days of spring break (nooooo! I won't go back to school!). And I've
found
lots of you agree with me about the Lucky Charms thing! Maybe I should
get a
petition going to the company! Lots of you responded to the trilogy
question,
so thanks to all who sent one in. It's really interesting to see the
different interpretations people have of the songs. As for making up
your own
trilogy, had lots of entries for those too, and chose a couple to put
in here
(along with a couple explaining Darren's choice for a trilogy). Oh,
before I
start with the newsletter, a LOT LOT LOT of Hotmail account holders
did NOT
get the SGer for some reason last week. I had an email with about 50
addresses who couldn't get it. If you were one of them, Sarah should
have the
issue up on the SGer's site in the next couple days. Sorry for the
inconvenience!

Savage Trivia
Last week's trivia question was: Where were Darren and Daniel when they
saw
snow for the very first time? Lots of you thought New York City, but
it
actually was in Montreal, Canada. The guys were so excited that they
had a
snowball fight on their way to a restaurant. Congrats to those who
got it
right!

Ok, here's what i think. Really, I think i head it was about a
relationship
and in my opinion it is different stages of the relationship (Though
it's not
a healthy one, or they would be more like Truly). I think it
starts more
along the lines of Mine and it says how there's the wanting and with
three
things he could have a preson in his life. Then there is Break
Me Shake Me
and thats with after the relationship has been manipulated and screwed
around
with completely there is the hating. That's like, the after arguments
and
stuff, and the last is A Thousand Words. And in all hoestly I've
been trying
to figure out that song since I got the CD, and i thought I did, but
i proved
my self wrong because now i do, and that was after I got out of a really
bad
relationship so ATW is the song for moving on. That is saying
how the two
partied have to part and go on their seperate ways not trying to bend
over
backwards to please each other anymore, and one person just saying,
like,
"it's over".
I'm not sure if that makes very much sense but I have always felt that
that
is what the songs are trying to say. They all deal with the same
situation
and that is manipulation, though they are each in different fazes of
the
madness.

Truly Madly Deeply
Break Me Shake Me
And the Animal Song
And here is why:
Truly Madly Deeply's this nice smoothe lovey-dovey love song.
So I figure
after you listen to that and you're in this peaceful mood....
BAM!
Peaceful mood no more!!!!!!
You're hit with Break Me Shake Me(even though I listen to bmsm every
nite
before I go to bed, but I'm a special case).
So now you're like...AHHHH(not really I'm just trying to make up a
reason).
And then...
To finish it off,
The Animal Song.
Why?
Because it has absolutely nothing to do with the other two. That's
why!
And that
::bows::
Is my
Savage Garden trilogy
I HAD to put this one. It put such a smile on my face! ~Lauren :o)

Hiya! Alrighty, this is my theory on the trilogy thing: I think "Break
Me
Shake Me" would come first, and it's sort of like maybe two people
were
having difficulties (extreme difficulties) in a relationship, and the
guy
felt that "(the girl) abused (him) in a way that (he's) never known"
and
other things like that. So, it's all falling apart. Then they sleep
on it and
are seperated for a while, and "A Thousand Words" comes up. The first
line
would be the most descriptive in my opinion for this situation (this
always
has been my second favorite song next to TTMAB mainly because of this
line)
"We stumble in a tangled web, decaying friendships almost dead and
hide
behind a mask of lies, we twist and turn and we avoid, all hope of
salvage
now devoid I see the truth inside your eyes" so I think they're being
rational now, no more biting screaming and yelling, but more like talking.
And the guy still has feelings for her (decaying friendships almost
dead) but
he can never have her again and she's made it clear (I see the truth
inside
your eyes). So scene II is over, and now comes "Mine." The guy is still
in
love with her, and cannot live without her. Maybe he's with another
girl,
because "in the cover of darkness (he) can make-believe it's (her)."
He wants
to know if she's feeling the same thing he is (I wonder if you know
the pain
to want the one thing that you haven't got), but he knows she's not
worrying
about it because "it seems (he's) not on (her) mind and (he's) just
wasting
(his) time." So to me it seems relatively unresolved, because the guy
is
still in love with the woman, and just can't get over it.
******************************************************************************
*******************
my idea of a trilogy: I Want You, Truly Madly Deeply, Break Me
Shake Me.
Let me explain myself; we all know that the chase is half the
fun, so that's
"I Want You". Once you get it, you're able to indulge in it, which
would be
"Truly Madly Deeply." Then you realize it's not what you expected
and it all
blows up in your face, so that's "Break Me Shake Me." (isn't
that a
wonderful outlook on love?)
I agree 100% with this! That's exactly how it always ends up! No, I'm
not a
pessimist! ~Lauren :o)

I'm working on a real scrapbook to send to the members of Savage
Garden,
Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones, filled with different types of writing,
such as poetry (written by you or by professional authors), stories,
songs, and art as well that were inspired by them. By "real"
I mean it
is NOT a web site, it's actually two books in the making, one for Daz
and
one for Dan.
I have done this before. I made a scrapbook filled with
poetry, art,
and letters sent in to me by pple on the 'net a few months ago when
I
called for works just like this. It was complete with a chain
poem done
by the members and other features that made it unique. I mailed
the
completed scrapbook to the fanzine and received word from Chris (the
editor of the fanzine) that Daniel received it 2 months ago! (it still
excites me!!)... I'm still waiting to hear from Chris as to if Darren
got
to take a look at it. If you want to take a look at the last
one before
wanting to participate in the new one then go here:
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Pavilion/2804/index.html (comments
are welcomed in the guestbook!).
So now I'm making another one, and I'm looking for new pple to
contribute to the new scrapbooks. It is a bigger project than
the first
cuz will have all the things the last one did and MORE! If you want
a
description on the NEW scrapbook before deciding to participate then
drop
me an e-mail and I'll fill you in. If you want to contribute something,
please e-mail me first so I can give you more information as to what
you're getting yourself into! < [email protected] >
Thanks for your
time, and sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. I
will not
mail to this list of people again.

Hello all.... my site has been totally updated. Please, take a look
at it:

Just let you know, that for the "Let Paris turn Animal!" Tour, I already
have gotten many answers (and even from non-French people). That's
great...
I'm sure we'll have good time ! Latest date : perhaps around the end
of
July (31st)... All the people interested in joining us can e-mail me
at

Hey Lauren,
I'm starting a new newsletter and was wondering if anyone would
want
to get it. It's (of course) about Savage Garden so if anyone
wants to
recieve this just e-mail me at [email protected]

Hi Lauren,
Since you have so many people reading this newsletter,
I was hoping you could help me.
In the most recent FANZINE, on the fan picture page,
bottom left-hand corner is a small pic of Dan with a
girl. Now the question,...By any chance does anyone
out there know who this girl is or where or when this
picture was taken? It's a long shot, but if anyone can
help me out on this one, I would really appreciate it!
Just get back to me at the address below. Thanx!!
Lauren, thank you for helping me out with this. Keep
up the GREAT work!!

**Savage sites!
http://www.members.tripod.com/~SavageLover/main.html
http://tinipan.fortunecity.com/polly/410
**I was going to put this in the last SGer, but it was too full of stuff
to
do, so I saved it for this one. A question in the Fanzine asked Darren
and
Daniel what they would ask all their fans. Daniel's was: "Why do you
like
Savage Garden?". Well, I want to know! What would you tell him?
**Alright, all you aspiring writers. As you all know, I'm preparing
for a
couple months of an "empty" SGer prior to the release of the new Savage
Garden single and album. So in an attempt to spice things up a bit,
a fellow
reader came up with a brilliant idea. Brittany ([email protected]) suggested
that
we have a Savage Garden Musical contest, inspired by the whole "Mine",
"Break", "Words" trilogy. Rather than a trilogy, she suggested people
write a
musical built around Savage Garden songs. If you're interested in writing
a
play-like script, email me for all the rules (once Britt and I think
of the
whole thing!). We're thinking of having the due date in the middle
of July,
so you'll have plenty of time to work on it. Don't ask for the rules
unless
you're honestly interested and really want to do it, as Brittany and
I want
to have a grasp on how many entries we'll have. Now c'mon SGer readers!
I've
been really disappointed with the lack of participation lately! Give
me back
my faith in you by joining in!
**If you were with me last year, you know that as it rolled around for
Darren
to celebrate his birthday, I asked you all to send in birthday wishes
for the
Savage Sweetie so I can forward them on to the Village address. Ok,
so he
probably won't see it but don't you feel better knowing you sent it
in? I
thought so. Anyway, the time has come for me to do it again, and you
have
plenty of time (a month) to think of a message and send it to me. Keep
it
short and sweet, and your name is optional.
That's it for this week! Don't forget to send me your request for the
rules
of the Savage Garden Musical Contest, and also your birthday message
for
Darren. In the meantime, catch ya next week!
Peace, love, and Savage Garden!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Darren Hayes and/or Daniel Jones. I wish I
did, but
since slavery isn't legal in the U.S. anymore, I'm outta luck. I make
no
money for the "publication" of this newsletter, so if you're a nasty
big
company like that dumb Hit Records, don't waste your time suing me
(especially since you're probably trying to get a chunk of Savage's
earnings,
anyway). Besides, my life savings consist of $2.54. The program you
have just
watched contains real-life stories. The names have been changed to
protect
the innocent.
