The Savage Gardener #67

Woo, half day of school tomorrow! Anyhoo, another Savage song unofficially
makes its way to radio, this time in Canada while I still try to figure out
how "Break Me Shake Me" is hovering in the Top 40 here in the U.S.! Too many
Savage mysteries have come about!!

**Yay for the boys!! "Truly" has been nominated for Best Song for the European
MTV Music Awards!! Go to http://www.mtveurope.com   and vote for them!!! Help
out Darren and Daniel! And when the awards air on November 12th, I hope one of
you many Europeans reading this will let me know how the boys do!

**Here are this week's Billboard stats: "Truly" stays at #25 this week while
the album drops back to #75 on its 81st week on the charts.

                                                               Savage Trivia

Alrighty, now that I'm not so rushed this week, I had time to figure out a
trivia question. This week's quessie is: How old was Darren when he first
started singing professionally?

Hi Lauren,I have an idea for a little segment you could start if you're
getting thin in things to write. There are so many little things that
obsessive fanatics may notice about the clips or interviews or whatever that
the other fans may not even be aware of that are always really quirky and
interesting.I got this idea the other day when I was watching believe it or
not, my friend's Hanson video- Tulsa, Tokyo and the Middle of Nowhere and
nearly fell off the couch to see Savage Garden!- well not Darren and Daniel
but at least the name. While Hanson were in Taipei they show the Top 20 charts
with MMMBop sitting at #5 and I Want You at #4! It is a sweet world! So maybe
if there are any other freaky incidents around they'd make a good segment.
What do you think?

[email protected]

I think it's a good idea and quite honestly, up until a little while ago I was
thinking that since I don't have much filler space lately I might have to stop
doing the SGer. But I just can't - I love doing this too much to just stop!
I'll just have to tap into my brain a little harder to figure out what to do!

Hi Lauren! (PLEASE put this in the SG'er tonight if you get it in
time!!)
I am so hyper now I heard Tears of Pearls on the radio!! LG73 in Vancouver
7:40 pm Pacific Time. Don't know if anyone else has heard it...? So exciting!!
Taped it... hee hee
So all you people out there, keep your ears (and eyes!!) open!! Thanks!!

[email protected]

Wow!! I'm getting pretty surprised here!! No word on "Tears of Pearls" being
released in Canada, nor is there anything about "Break Me Shake Me" being
released here in the U.S. (remember, it's hovering above the Top 40!). What's
going on here? If anyone can find out why these two songs have been released
to radio, let everyone know!! It's confusing! ~Lauren :o)

**[email protected]   suggested I retry the "To the Moon and Back"/Future of
Earthly Delites Tour reviews. Since I need a filler anyway, I figure I'll give
it a try. So if you want to send in your reviews, go ahead! I'd love to hear
more ideas on how to fill the SGer too, so if you have one go ahead and send
that too!

**I have another Savage site to advertise! Check out Michelle's site at:

http://www.enter.net/~sipsters/savage/savagepg.html

That's it for this week! Stay Savage and in the meantime, send in anything you
think will help fill the SGer, and don't forget to send your favorite song AND
B-side to [email protected]. Catch ya next week!!

Peace, love, and Savage Garden!
