Hi everyone! Well, this is my first try on The Savage Gardener and I hope to
do as great a job as Andrea did! Just a couple things about me: my name is
Lauren, I'm 15 and live in southern California, I've been to two Savage Garden
concerts already and even met Darren and got both his and Daniel's autograph

**URGENT NEWS!!! Just one month after their debut album achieves platinum
status, Truly Madly Deeply has taken over the Number 1 spot on the Billboard
Hot 100!! Last week Elton John's Something About the Way You Look
Tonight/Candle in the Wind '97 held the #1 spot, now our very own Savage
Garden has its place, jumping from #4 to #1. Savage Garden is the first
Australian band to achieve this in ten years! Congratulations, Darren and
Daniel!! We're so proud of you!!

**Savage Garden's debut album is currently #34 in the Billboard Hot 200
category. It's expected to jump even further with the phenomenal success of
Truly Madly Deeply.

**One of Darren and Daniel's favorite TV shows, Seinfeld, announced that this
is its last season.  Hope Daz and Dan don't mind too much!

**Truly Madly Deeply will be featured
**It's almost confirmed, all U.S. residents!! Darren and Daniel will be ending
their world tour in America possibly around June/July. So start checking the
newspapers around late February, early March for locations and tickets!

i got the SG CD for my birthday. i love all the songs and all but some of the
lyrics are like, what? like most of the 5th song (i forget the name). and i
want you is my #1 fave song, but "you'll never know what hit you when i get to
you"? it's like the backstreet boys, sorta in As Long As You Love Me- i don't
care who you are-well thanks!, where you're from-yipee.,what you did- who says
i did anything?, as long as you love me? yeah, right!

i have a comment on darren's hair......when i downloaded this pic i thought
darren was gonna look horiable. i looked at and BAM!!!!!!!!!!! i drooled all

**There will be a new section that I'll need your help on because it'll be run
by you! It's called Savage Stuff by Savage Fans and it's anything you want!
Send in your poems, thoughts, dreams, and if you've ever seen SG in concert,
your concert experiences and/or meeting with the Savaged Ones! If I don't get
any responses to this, I'll be forced to tell of my own concert experiences
and hope it'll get you guys going!

**Here's a piece of info I thought you'd like to hear: in a recent interview
in Singapore, Darren said that if he and Daniel were the Spice Boys he would
be Hairy Spice and Daniel said he would be Skinny Spice. Can you imagine that
<g> ?

**I got the special Australian re-release of their album for Christmas (luv
you, Mom!)! It's incredible! It has photocopies of parts of some of the songs
in their original form in Darren's handwriting! It also has the original ad
that Daniel placed in the music magazine advertising for a singer! It's really
cool, and will probably become a collector's item. The bonus disc of remixes
is great, too. Also, there's a new glammed-up version of the all-too-familiar
SG logo that you can check out at the official site.
