Wow!!  Welcome to the 25th issue of the Savage Gardener!!  I got very lucky
this week...  Christmas day, my computer got a virus, and I almost lost
EVERYTHING!!  Luckily everything worked out and I still have all the files I
need for the newsletter - so here it is!!

**Last week's trivia question was what nickname did Dan get when he dropped
out of school, and in what grade did he drop out??  This musta been an easy
question or something cuz a lot of people got this one right!  Congrats to...

**This past week, Truly Madly Deeply debuts on the US Billboard Top 10 at
number 9!  That gives SG TWO top ten hits in the US for 1997!  The album is
now at 60 on the US Billboard Charts - all credit given to the release of
TMD.  In Australia, Universe stays at number 47 on the Top 50.  The new album
stays at number 7 and has gone 9 times platinum!!!  Break Me Shake Me leaves
the Top 100 chart after a run of 25 weeks in the chart.  Truly Madly Deeply ,
however, is still in the top 100 at number 99 after a total of 41 weeks on the
chart so far!!!

**I got some interesting comments this week...

TTMAB was number 78!!

OK ever since that concert here in Atlanta half the state have became Savage
Garden Fans!!!!!!! Now everyone is telling me Colby Taylor cheated on Darren
and Daniel dumped his long time girl friend Michelle for Jenny Waite the
backup singer!
These are defintely some heavy rumors so tell your friends or HUGE Savage
Garden fans!!!!!!!!!!!

also Savage Garden's Truly Madly Deeply is in the VH1 TOP 10 OF THE WEEK

**The survey/contest question for last week was to give me a good idea for a
new song.  I'm not sure, but I think this might have been the SECOND week for
that question.  I only got two responses...

Okay, I think that they should write a song about CHRISTMAS!!!!! (hee hee hee,

I think that SG should write and sing a song about a historical event.  I
don't know which one, but I'd just really like something like that, since I'm
kinda into history.  I think it would sound pretty cool.

**Right now, Darren and Daniel are FINALLY back home in Australia after months
of radio show performances in the US.  They will be there for the new year and
all the way to January 4th.  Then, they have to start getting ready for the
"Future of Earthly Delites Tour"!!!

**The trivia question this week is which books does Darren like to read and
what author writes them??  Be as specific as possible!!

**Lets see, the survey question this week is name at least 5 GOOD things that
makes SG better than a lot (not all, but a lot) of other bands...  Be thorough
in your answers!!
