Countdown to spring break 5 and a half (half because I have a half day
tomorrow)! Which brings me to let you all know that I will be gone
alllll
spring break (week of April 17-21). The SGer will obviously be postponed
for
a couple days, but it'll most likely be out the Saturday before Easter.
Anyway, just giving a pre-warning that I won't be around to answer
questions
and help or anything. Plus, news about the SGer's new design, which
I'll
explain further in this issue. Get ready for a big change in format,
people
with AOL! People without AOL, well, you still get the dull, boring
SGer! Dumb
internet services :P Anyway, on with the newsletter!

**Remember when Savage Garden were on "The Donny and Marie Show" to
promote
"I Knew I Loved You"? Well, in that same taping they also performed
"Crash
and Burn", but changed clothes and all that lovely stuff to make it
look like
a different day! The show will air May 5th, so don't forget! And I
will be
here to remind you :) Anyway, I suspect the guys taped "Crash" early
because
by the time it airs, they'll be into the Australian leg of the "Affirmation"
world tour. In the meantime, request "Crash and Burn" on your local
radio
station!
**Second Brisbane show added! The guys will perform in Brisbane on May
21st
and tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 11. The price is $50 <~~gasp!
I hope
the American tickets aren't expensive, or little me is going to have
a LOT of
work to do! In the meantime, thank you to our wonderful webmistress,
Sarah,
for the info!
**"Affirmation" is at #47 this week, while "I Knew I Loved You" is at
#17.
Expect "Crash and Burn" to appear in the coming weeks, so keep requesting!

Hi,
I've been studying sign language for a few weeks and know the chorus
of Crash
and Burn already and know the beginning of I Don't know you Anymore
(because
it's my favorite song. When I read the part about you learning
the chorus I
think that is really cool, since the rest of the world is probably
as well.
I'm still iffy with my signs but if Darren were actually talking to
the deaf
i dont think he would be understood... So if you go by him, and
his signing
looks great I think some of his words are off. I'm not exactly
sure why I
have to say all this, it might just be because I'm expressing what
I've
learned...

Hey Leonie! Boy have I got something strange for you...
You know how last time we all kept hearing "softly as the animals fall
so far
ahead" (now that we have no idea what it is) in I Want You?
Well, I think that line is actually something of a prophecy. It was
predicting the fate of The Animal Song! They were saying how, when
TAS was so
close to being #1, it fell! See, "softly" meant that it wasn't that
sudden -
"Oh, they're down a spot, that's okay, only a temporary set-back, they'll
get
back up" - so we didn't really see it coming. "the animals" was TAS
and "fall
so far ahead" meant that when they were so high up on the charts (and
so darn
close to #1) they began to drop...and drop...and fall down the charts!
Hmm...
Any comments?

**Starting issue #126, AOL based people will enjoy the brand new, completely
re-done Savage Gardener. Unfortunately, non-AOLers will have to be
stuck with
the old format because you can't register the pics, colors, fonts,
etc. If
you have an AOL based email address and CANNOT receive pics inside
emails
PLEASE let me know so I can send a different version. This is VERY
important.
The reason I'm waiting until issue #126 is because that will by 100th
issue,
so I thought that was the best way to celebrate 100 issues of...me!
**Expect 4-5 singles off "Affirmation". We've had "I Knew I Loved You"
and
"Crash and Burn" (excluding the early '99 release of "The Animal Song").
What
2-3 songs do you think is likely to be picked for the singles off
"Affimation"?
Alrighty, that's it for this week. Remember to request "Crash and Burn"
on
your local radio station AND email VH1 and MTV to play the gorgeous
video
that accompanies the song. In the meantime, catch ya next week!
Peace, love, and Savage Garden!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Darren Hayes and/or Daniel Jones. I wish I
did, but
since slavery isn't legal in the U.S. anymore, I'm outta luck. I make
no
money for the "publication" of this newsletter, so if you're a nasty
big
company like that dumb Hit Records, don't waste your time suing me
(especially since you're probably trying to get a chunk of Savage's
earnings,
anyway). My family gets a big laugh everytime my bank statement
arrives.
Besides, my life savings consist of $2.54. The program you have just
watched
contains real-life stories. The names have been changed to protect
the
innocent. Is that your final answer?
