This is it, people!! I have the first batch of the "Affirmation" world tour
dates in my possession (Australia only, for the time being). You'll find all
the info in the News section of the SGer, so if you're in Australia, tickets
go on sale soon! Anyhoo, I'm proud to say that the Savage Song Awards are
FINALLY finished and ready to go. However, it's reeeeeeally long so I have to
send it in a separate email instead of in the SGer as I originally planned.
So as soon as I get the SGer out, the SSAs will follow. Ok, now I have to
tell you all about my sign that's coming! I was looking at the Savage Garden
stuff up for auction on eBay (I shouldn't though...too much cool stuff!) and
I found the most ADORABLE "parking sign". It has the SG logo saying "Savage
Garden Fan Parking Only" and "All others will crash and burn". I HAD to have
it, as "Crash and Burn" is my favorite song on the album, so I bid on it and
won! I'm so excited! I'll have to take a picture of it and have Sarah put it
on the SGer's site! According to my friend Tammy, the people that made the
sign have put up another one on there, so go check it out! I also FINALLY
have the one Savage Garden item I've been seeking for a couple years - the
U.S. "I Want You" single! I was able to get that from an eBay auction too, so
now my collection is complete at last! Ok, enough about me and my wonderful
Savage possessions - let's get on with the newsletter!

Note: I've been doing the Savage Gardener for nearly 2 years now, so I know
what's coming. "DO YOU KNOW WHEN SAVAGE GARDEN WILL BE APPEARING AT <insert
your hometown here>?!?!" I get tons of emails just like that more often than
you'd think - even when the guys were on their year-long break! Please
remember that when I get the info about the World Tour, I will ALWAYS share
it with you. Every date, every venue, every country's performances will be in
the SGer as soon as they're made available. So don't clog my mailbox with
these emails - you'll know as soon as I do!! Thanks!

**I made a mistake (yah yah...so what else is new??)! "I Knew I Loved You"
was #1 on the Billboard charts 2 weeks ago, not #2 like I originally said.
Can't explain my mistake...I don't think I could have missed it being #1
again! Anyhoo, that makes a total of 4 weeks at #1 for "Knew", but this week
it's at #4 while the album jumps up 2 spots to #25.

And thanks to [email protected]  for the correction about the Billboard mistake!

**I should have known that right after making my plea about whether or not
people have received their Fanzine, I'd get mine in the mail! It came on
Friday, and I'm going to share a few things from it with all of ya. First of
all, in the questions section for Darren, this just CRACKED me and my mom up
(she always HAS to read the Fanzines!), Darren answered a question about the
worst nightmare he ever had. Here's his response:

"This evil clown with sharp teeth came to my bedroom. I swear I was awake and
it just said "I'll be back". I've been waiting for that damn clown to show
his face for the last 20 years!"

If there was any doubt as to how much I ADORE this man, it was reinstated
with this little comment. I think Darren should release his fears about this
one and write a song. I can see the beauty of a sharp-toothed clown, can't
you?

Anyhoo, on to other things. Alrighty, I am now convinced that it's destiny
that I'll be involved with the guys some day. In the same questions section,
Darren answers a question about if he knew that his name means darling in Old
English. He says, and I QUOTE: "I thought it was just old fashioned for the
guy out of Bewitched!"  <insert ecstatic look on me here> Bewitched!!! That's
the TV show that INSPIRED MY SCREEN NAME! My mom got a big kick out of that
as well! And as if that wasn't enough...in the questions section for both
guys, someone asks what the last movie they saw was, and here's Daniel's
response: "Toy Story 2. [My mom's in love with him now because he loves this
movie] I thought it was wonderful. Bullseye was my favourite and I'm
currently searching for a Bullsye toy." Acck! The little aliens in the movies
are MY favorite characters and I spent FOREVER trying to find an alien toy
(remember, Sarah??) It's DESTINY, I tell you! Really! It is! On the other
hand, do you have any idea how many Bullseye toys are going to be sent to the
Fanzine?! So much for that "donate money to charity" idea! Smooth move, Danno!

In other Fanzine news, Asia gets the guys first with the "Affirmation" world
tour to start tentatively there in April, Australia/SE Asia in May, Europe in
June and North America/Canada in August, ending in Latin America in late
September. Hmm...with the tour coming my way in August, I'll have more time
to earn money for the million dollars they charge at concerts for merchandise!

**Good GOD, Darren!!! Well, ladies, it's time to add yet ANOTHER teenage star
Darren has a crush on. And I KNOW this one is going to tick off more than a
few people, as I personally thought Darren had better taste than this! It's
Britney Spears ("I'm obsessed with Britney Spears, you know..." ~ quote and
info from [email protected]), and come on, Darren, she's pretty, but
sheesh! Try someone with vocal talent! I don't know what surprises me more,
that it's Britney Spears or yet another girl 10 years younger than him! Oh,
and Britney fans, don't even bother with the "BRITNEY HAS TALENT" emails. I
have my opinion and stick by them 100% in her case, and hey - this is my
newsletter and I can say what I want ;)  Don't take it personally! :D

Hi would just like to say that  I saw an Interview with Darren on TV, that
was a few mounts ago and thet transfomd the songs with a wrong name, They
cold Two beds and a coffee machine    Tibet and the coffee machine!!!! It
isn't real news, but It's a bit funny, I also would like to say  that I
picture Darren more as a Louis than a Lestat.

they have this show on tv here, it's called VIG (Very Important Guest) and
they let famous people pick their fave videos and Darren could pick his faves
last Saturday and could introduce them. I just have to say he was very cute
and very funny... Joking around and pulling faces and all. Just being Darren,

**For newer subscribers, I think I'd better give an explanation as to what
the Savage Song Awards are about! Anyhoo, in December of '98 I made up a
bunch of categories having to do with Savage Garden songs in honor of the
Australian ARIA awards (and Savage Garden's huge win there). Basically, I had
the SGer subscribers vote for which song Most Likely to <insert category
here> and any other thing I could come up with. It was very well-received and
people had fun with it, so I decided to do it again this year as an
"Affirmation" celebration. I had SGer subscribers type up little "presenting
speeches" like they do on the Oscars/Grammys/etc. and with their work I
turned it into an online "show". So that's coming up in just a moment!
